How has a year almost passed already? It feels like you’ve blinked & your little baby is now giggling, sitting, crawling & has a full blown personality that you wouldn’t change for the world. Suddenly you just want to freeze time, terrified you’ll miss a moment, or forget how your baby moves, the expressions they make, those little chubby wrists & even the spot of dribble that seems to always be on their chin. Cake smash sessions are a chance to celebrate this huge milestone, to take time out of your busy days to watch your baby play & capture every detail in photos you’ll be able to treasure.
I was one of the first to specialise in capturing your baby & your bond in a totally natural, honest & authentic way. My little white studio is relaxing & homely, so you’ll feel completely at ease. Imagine it’s like popping to a friends, except this friend takes really beautiful photos.
WHY YOU SHOULD BOOK YOUR cake smash SHOOT WITH ME?
1.5-2 hour photography session at my home studio in Hemel Hempstead
I prefer to keep my photography packages super simple & totally transparent. Every session comes with prints because I know how little time you have to organise anything in the early years & you should be able to see your beautiful images on the wall.
WHEN YOU BOOK A cake smash SHOOT with Little White Photography
20 fully edited images as digital files & also as 6x4 inch prints (additional images are £20)
A large 20x20 inch print displaying 9 of your edited images
You can also buy the full 1st stage gallery (minimum 200 images with an initial edit) as a digital download for £150.
Sessions are £600 | Book any time, but I would recommend getting in touch when your baby is 6-7 months to ensure I have availability.
It’s been such a huge year & seems to have gone in the blink of an eye. The session was so much fun, seeing her playing with the toys & her reaction to the cake was priceless. We struggled to conceive & had a rocky 1st year with sleep & hospital visits, so to have made it & have such stunning photos to celebrate this occasion with means the world.

Book any time, but I would recommend getting in contact when baby is 2-4 months to ensure I have availability.
It depends entirely whether you want the photos ready for your babies birthday, id so I would recommend planning the session for around the 11 month mark. If you don’t need the images ready most people plan the session for as close to babies birthday as they can, plus lots plan it for the actual day as the session is super fun & a lovely way to celebrate.
All of my cake smash sessions are at my home studio in Hemel Hempstead. I have everything we’ll need here & you can relax with a drink while I capture beautiful photos of your baby.
Bring what you would for a normal outing with baby, so some nappies, your wipes of choice, a spare outfit. But you don’t need to plan or prepare anything special.
If you would like to bring a sibling then a family session is best. It gives us more time to capture all of you together, plus both children together, as well as individual photos.
Yes absolutely. I have two small dogs who are super friendly, but I can also keep them out of the way incase your dog was less keen on furry friends. We have a big garden your fur baby can play in when not having their photo taken & I’d capture some photos of your dog on their own, as well as family shots with you all together.
Although possible it’s best to discuss this on an individual basis as my studio is only small & if baby is unsettled on the day passing them round to different people could affect the variety of images we are able to capture.
The first gallery you receive will have a minimum of 200 images in & they will have had a first stage edit. This gallery usually comes out a week after the session. You then select the images you’d like (20 included, additional images are £20) & let me know when you are finished selecting. My editing lead-time is usually around 3 weeks, but if you need the images sooner simply let me know & I can rejig my editing list.
No, I decided it would just be a print because you can then easily frame it at home in whatever frame style you wanted.
I can arrange for the print to be framed, but there would be an additional cost for this.
Not to worry at all, it is totally normal for babies to be upset at some stage within a session. But my natural approach to cake smash sessions means that is never a problem, in fact some of my favourite images were captured when baby was in need of comfort & I was able to photograph the honest, raw moments as mum & dad comforted their little one.
You can come in, we’ll have a natter all the while I’ll be capturing beautiful photos of your baby. My approach is very relaxed so you don’t need to feel nervous at all. Plus having done this now for 11 years I have seen it all & can promise you that whatever happens you will have a stunning gallery of images to choose from.
