Simple Cake Smash, I know that seems an odd blog title.
But quite honestly this is the best way I can sum up my style of 1st birthday sessions.
Simplicity is absolutely key. No themes, jazzy decorations, bright outfits.
Just your baby being adorable, playing with beautiful natural wood toys, enjoying a little white cake & splashing in a little white bath tub.
A simple cake smash.
Years ago I wanted to plan a session to celebrate my sons first birthday, but couldn’t find a style that I liked.
They were all a bit much & I wanted something more classic, where the focus was just on my baby.
So that’s when I devised my sessions.
The main part of the session I decided should be just letting your baby have fun playing with toys.
The studio is full of beautiful organic wooden toys & adorable teddies.
Then we capture some natural, honest family photos.
Out comes the cake. It’s a little tiered white cake that is just adorable & perfect for little hands.
Finally we bring out the little white bath tub to clean up any mess & have a splash about.
